Frequently Asked Questions
Shouldn’t I trust my loved one to tell me the truth about drugs?
In almost any other situation, absolutely! Although, with the rapid and devastating consequences of experimenting with drugs, confirmed, accurate, test results are the best way to truly know your teen is not experimenting or abusing drugs. Do you require you’re teen to show report card scores?
Does the Drug Test Club sell single drug tests?
No, we believe drug testing in a program such as the Drug Test Club is the best way to find out about possible drug use as well as prevent future drug use. Testing your child once, with no information, could lead to inaccurate results, and will not address future use. Our program lets your child know you are going to be testing consistently and you are up to date on the test altering techniques being used. Your teen will also be more likely to take the news that they are being tested in a program better, because they have peers in the Drug Test Club and will not feel alone. When you become a member of the Drug Test Club you are able to purchase additional tests at a deeply discounted rate, if needed.
How accurate are Drug Test Club drug tests?
Our products are FDA approved and tested to 99% accuracy. Administering the test is where in-home drug tests usually fail. Without proper testing technique and knowledge of today’s many adultering (test cheating) strategies, less accuracy can be expected.
Why does the Drug Test club deliver tests at random dates monthly?
It is very important to administer tests at random or different dates/times, as to not let a teen prepare with a test altering techniques.
Can my teen trick or alter the test?
Yes. There are many methods of adultering or cheating on a drug test. At the Drug Test Club, we keep up to date on these altering methods and are members of DATIA or the Drug and Alcohol Testing Industry Association. We give you the information you need to stay ahead of the cheating curve and administer an accurate in home test.
What is the difference between the test used by professional/school drug test programs?
Nothing, our tests are used in many professional and school settings.
How long after a person has used a substance will it be picked up by a positive test?
Depends on the substance, our members section has a complete chart showing detection times.
Do drug tests expire?
Yes, yet another reason to have them delivered monthly. A drug test typically has a shelf life of 15 months, but many tests sold by other companies are shipped to customers with 6 months or less of shelf life.
What drugs do the tests look for?
Our tests detect 10 of the most common drugs used by teens today, including:
- COC (cocaine)
- AMPH (Amphetamines)
- METH (Meth)
- THC (marijuana, hash)
- OPI (Herion, Opium)
- BZO (Valium, Ativan, Xanax)
- BAR (Barbita, Seconal)
- OXY (Oxycodone)
- PCP(phencyclidine)
- MDMA (Ecstacy)
Can a prescription drug show up on the drug test?
Yes, for example if your teen is on a prescription for Xanax, you might see a positive result for BZO. Make sure you know what prescription drugs your child is on, and make sure your teen is not abusing a prescription drug by having the positive sample sent to our affiliate lab for testing.
Will my test be delivered with any “drug test” labeling?
No “drug test” or “Drug Test Club” labeling will be on the outside of your package in order to protect privacy.
How do I administer the test?
In our “starter kit” we will provide instructions on how to administer the most accurate in home drug test possible, accounting for possible attempts at test altering.
What if the test is positive, what is my next step?
This is every parents nightmare. We suggest going to www.drugfree.org which is a great reference for parents.
What if my teen disputes the test results?
Remember our tests are 99% accurate. If they still dispute the test, feel free to order a GC/MS laboratory confirmation from the Drug Test Club. This test will give you the highest accuracy result possible
What’s the difference between urine, saliva and hair testing? Accuracy?
Besides the obvious method of sample collection. Urine testing is 99% accurate. Saliva has been tested at a little under what urine collection accuracy. Hair tests are 99% accurate as well but need to be sent to a lab such as hairconfirm.
